What's up with Chris?
This is a journal of my recent life in a far off land. Things started off very difficult for me here, and only got worse when I left for Thailand and came back. I am hoping for a drastic turn-around. This journal will show whether or not that happens. Remember, it starts from the bottom!

Chris,
Good for you that you are being so positive and forward thinking when the hurt is so recent. We are all just human and we all make mistakes.... it is important you forgive yourself especially.
I also am happy to read you know you can't isolate yourself especailly there. Talk to people and be open to opportunities.
Love you.
Mom
Lol, you know mom couldn't resist giving advice. But it's loving, mom advice, a special kind of gift. We may not always like it, but sooner or later we realise she's right. But now that I've commented on it, I can't give any myself.
I heard this song on the Edge the other day: "If you want to destroy my sweater..." and I just cracked up laughing. That was one of your random comments from years ago! I laughed so hard I nearly banged my head back into the wall. Anyway, just wanted to share a good moment that happened cause of you.
I'm proud of what you're doing there, and what you're learning. Don't know if you have friends there you hug, but if you do, get them to give you a hug from me. Love you, your lbs, Megs
All these comments, but not about the pic? Just kidding, though it is a great shot. I like how the buildings and various sundry stuff on and near the water are all made indistinct by the radiance.
I, also, think of you often. Usually it's in the context of martial arts, when I feel like taking up the bokken and smashing away at you for hours, then to collapse on your couch like old times... on occasion it's a painful stab of nestalga (which I know I'm not spelling right) about any number of things.
Do you remember when we just smacked away at each other with sticks and broom-handles? Don't you miss that?
(using your blog in place of email)
You know Geoff.....martial arts is probably a really good suggestion. I suspect Chris, that you may not have that avenue for physical release and it really does help to
make you feel better. Maybe you can find someone to spar with in Geoff's absence.
Thinking about you always...
love, Mom
